The Origins of Names

Perhaps now is a good time to reveal exactly why my name happens to be Professor Pisces. Just before Bill reveals it to you instead.

It's really all to do with what I am and what I am not. Last year, when I was contemplating beginning a blog (the product turning out to be this), I happened to be writing a story, as I am always doing. This one in particular had the intriguing name of 'The Pisces Effect', though its name has now been changed to better suit what it's actually about. In it, there was a certain character called Professor William Pisces, based on none other than no-one in particular. Since I rather liked him, I decided that I'd take his name. Plus we share some traits with one another. But that's pretty much it.

So now you know. Whoop-de-doop. But what you don't know is why the others are called what they are.

Watch this space... I'll be posting as to the origins of names very soon. Though I suspect the Editor will have something to say about me publishing anything about him.

Regards,
   Pisces
